Q-insights Welcomes In-Person Research with the Official Re-opening of Their Sherman Oaks Facility

After 16 months of closure due to pandemic safety, ISA’s Q-insights focus facility is now open for in-person interviews, focus groups, and product testing

ISA announced today that their Q-insights office is fully open for clients and respondents after more than a year of closure during the coronavirus pandemic. Thanks to vaccine adoption and falling transmission rates in-person research is now safe. This means no more physical distancing, no capacity limits on businesses and relaxed mask guidance. The Q-insights facility, located in Sherman Oaks, CA will be a mask-free environment.

“We are thrilled to be getting back to in-person research,” said Jamie Quider, Vice President of Q-insights.  “During the pandemic, we were able to fulfill projects by tapping into our in-house online and telephone capabilities, and now being able to offer our clients the opportunity to see respondents’ live expressions is truly gratifying.”

Q-insights provides a unique combination of solutions to their clients and partners including in-person quantitative and qualitative research, specializing in car clinics, large recruits with hard-to-reach audiences, and multicultural recruiting and interviewing. They’ve served hundreds of brands across key industries and specialize in automotive, multicultural recruiting, and field management research. When face-to-face research was no longer an option during the pandemic, Q-insights was able to adapt their research methodologies to keep projects running smoothly.

The Q-insights office is located at 15060 Ventura Blvd #125, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403.

Jacqueline Rosales, President of ISA

“I am beyond excited to lead ISA moving forward. We stand on a strong foundation of 38 years of excellence; including capabilities, reputation and staff. Our plan is to integrate and evolve to meet the ongoing needs of our clients and the marketplace. Our continued goal is connecting brands with their consumers in new and exciting ways.”

The ISA Group announced today that Jacqueline Rosales has been promoted to the top leadership role at the company. As ISA President, she will oversee ISA’s four divisions – ISA, Q-insights, SoapBoxSample and icanmakeitbetter. Jacqueline previously served as COO of SoapBoxSample. Founded in 1982, ISA is one of the largest insights firms in the U.S., specializing in quick turn, high-impact custom research solutions.

Jacqueline Rosales joined the ISA Group in 2012, when she was recruited to launch and lead ISA’s online division, SoapBoxSample. With more than 25 years in Market Research and proven success in launching, stabilizing and growing organizations, she quickly gained a reputation for her enthusiasm and unconventional leadership style. Under Jacqueline’s dynamic leadership, SoapBoxSample grew to become the most sizeable division of ISA. After ISA acquired community insight platform icanmakeitbetter in 2016, Jacqueline then took the helm of two divisions — SoapBoxSample and icanmakeitbetter.

Despite the challenges of 2020, Rosales lead the group through a fast and successful shift across the organization resulting in stellar performance in an extremely difficult year.

Anthony Kretzmer, ISA’s current president, will retire at the end of the first quarter, effective March 31, 2021. Anthony has led the ISA Group for nearly 20 years, overseeing the launch of SoapBoxSample in 2012, and the acquisition of icanmakeitbetter in 2016.

“The last 19 years at this wonderful company have been gratifying in the extreme,” relayed Anthony Kretzmer, current President of ISA. “Congratulations to Jacqueline on this well-deserved promotion. I know ISA will continue to flourish and thrive under Jacqueline’s leadership.”

Q-insights Announces the Launch of Driven by Q-insights™, a New Automotive Research Division

To meet the growing need for innovative automotive research, Q-insights has expanded to include Driven by Q-insights™ in their portfolio of products

The official launch of Driven by Q-insights™ was announced today. To meet the growing needs of clients and the automotive industry as a whole, Q-insights has developed a division dedicated specifically to all types of automotive research.

For over a decade, Q-insights has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in the automotive research space due to their unprecedented ability to recruit a wide spectrum of owners — from basic entry-level vehicles up to exotic and high-performance sports and luxury vehicles. The team has distinguished themselves with their ability to recruit hundreds of car owners (and intenders) over a short period of time, and their aptitude for gathering open and honest feedback. Driven by Q-insights™ will solidify the company’s continued commitment to exceeding the expectations of their current and future automotive clients.

“We are very proud to launch Driven by Q-insights™, a division that grew simply by listening to our clients’ evolving needs. Our team’s proactive approach to difficult data collection and wide range of coordination skills has enabled us to successfully execute some truly unique research,” said Linda Giniewicz, Senior Vice President of Q-insights.

Engineered to provide targeted access, the Driven by Q-insights™ suite of automotive research solutions includes car clinics, usability tests, focus groups, online research, quantitive telephone interviews, qualitative telephone interviews, quantitative telephone-to-web interviews, and ethnographic in-home research. By creating a division built around the unique needs of the automotive industry, Q-insights is able to successfully execute automotive projects of every size and scope.

Recognizing the ever-changing needs of the market, and building a portfolio around those needs, is the foundation of Q-insights’ business strategy. Earlier this year, they officially opened their second focus group facility in Marina del Rey, California. This creative and comfortable space has been a favorite among clients because of it’s convenient location near the beach and LAX and it’s state-of-the-art facilities.

ISA Marks 35 Years

Watching the next generation of ISA flourish has been fun. Many were born in the 1990’s, and soon we will have the first who were born in this century.

After 35 years at ISA, and almost 40 in market research, what keeps me motivated and looking to the future? Technologies that once seemed like science fiction are now an everyday occurrence. It’s not just the growth of the company and the expansion of our offerings that excites me, its seeing our clients and employees flourish.

When I began my career at Suburban Associates at the Bergen Mall in Paramus, NJ, everything was completed on paper. The company did not even have hand-held calculators! Tabulations were done with punch cards. Move ahead to 2017 — where paper and pencil are considered the dark ages and where ISA completes projects involving passive metering, insight communities, our own MySoapBox Mobile app, projects in Somalian, Urdu and Hmong and large complicated automotive clinics. Diversification is part of our business culture. Our offerings will continue to change and grow in response to dynamic changes in the industry.

We have amazing clients and employees. It would be great to acknowledge all of them by name, but that would take 25 pages. You know who you are. Several of our clients have been with us almost as long as I have. There are ten employees who have been with us for over 25 years and four of those for over 30. It has been a privilege to watch many of our employees meet their significant others here, (or while employed here) and have children. I met my wife, Taylor, at ISA.

Reflecting back on the 35 years of our growth and accomplishments, I am pleased with our ability to continue advancing our expertise in multicultural research. ISA has completed projects in 67 languages, to date, and has been awarded three Researcher of the Year Awards by the Asian American Advertising Federation. (The 3AF) Our four divisions, ISA, Q-insights, SoapBoxSample and icanmakeitbetter, all continue this tradition by offering their services in multiple languages.

Watching the next generation of ISA flourish has been fun. Many were born in the 1990’s, and soon we will have the first who were born in this century. Viewed through the lens of five different decades of being in market research, I feel very fortunate to be a part of this growth and change.

By my rough estimate, in 35 years we’ve conducted around $400 million dollars in research for our clients. That’s not a big number when you look at the entire industry but it’s significant to us.

None of our accomplishments were done in a vacuum. Alongside me were accomplished, supportive partners; Arnie Fishman, Dave Sackman, Tony Kretzmer, Michael Liebergall and Sy Lieberman. They need to be acknowledged as well. ISA would not have thrived without them.

It’s been a great ride and it’s not over yet! I can’t wait to see what our team has planned for tomorrow, next week, next year and into the future. With warmest regards and respect to all our friends, colleagues, current and former employees, thank you for allowing me to join you on this journey.
